Dived in listed position May 2012. Only 1 boiler so presuming above to be correct this cannot be the N. Verberkmoens. 3 stage engine with spare iron prop leaning against it. Small donkey boiler appears to have exploded. Railroad tyres noted also patent coal fuel blocks. Depth 45 by dive computer. Twelve pounder gun at stern.

Lettens Jan15/05/2011SS N. Verberckmoens, built by J. Readhead & Sons, So. Shields in 1890 and owned at the time of her loss by Cie. des Bateaux à Vapeur du Nord, Dunkerque, was a French steamer of 1353 tons.

On August 14th, 1917, N. Verberckmoens, on a voyage from Swansea to Dunkerque with a cargo of coal, was sunk by the German submarine UC-51 (Hans Galster), off Trevose Head. 4 persons were lost.

Allen Tony14/08/2009N. Verberckmoens SS was a French cargo steamer of 1,53grt built in1890 by J. Readhead & Sons, South Shields, England for Cie. des Bateaux à Vapeur du Nord, Dunkerque, France.

On the 14th August 1917 she was torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine off Trevose Head , Cornwall, England whilst on route from Swansea for Dunkerque with a cargo of coal.
