Mallows Donald12/08/2011There was one survivor of the Argus. His name was Archie Smith. He was the 18 year old quartermaster.

His memorial bench is on the Ha'penny Pier in Harwich.

Allen Tony24/03/2009The Trinity House lighthouse tender Argus SS struck a mine and sank on November 12th, 1940. The crew of 33 and 1 gunner were lost.
