Racey Carl07/11/2012On 14/11/1940 the steamer ST. CATHERINE was on passage from Aberdeen to Kirkwall, with a general cargo, when she was sunk by a torpedo launched from an aircraft, half a mile south of the Outer Buoy, Aberdeen Swept Channel. 15 of the crew were lost.
