Steel ship O.N. 94213. 1,726g. 1,642n. 260.6 x 38.2 x 23.0 feet 3.1890: Completed as EDENBALLYMORE by Russell & Company, Port Glasgow (Yard No.224) at a cost of £18,300 for Sailing Ship Edenballymore Company Ltd. (Thomson, Dickie & Company, managers ‘Maiden City Line’ ), Glasgow. Vessel registered at Londonderry.

1900: Sold to The Ship Edenmore Company, (Lang & Fulton, managers), and renamed EDENMORE. 1907: Managers restyled as Lang & Fulton Ltd.

3.10.1909: Whilst on passage from Hamburg for Sydney was blown ashore at Roan, Papa Stronsay, Orkney and became a total loss

Edenmore was on a voyage from Hamburg to Sydney with general cargo, including machinery, furniture, chinaware, chemicals and pianos, when on October 3rd, 1909, she ran aground on rocks at the Orkneys.

All crew of 25 was saved and part of her cargo was salvaged later, but on December 5th a gale completely destroyed her. Some sources say she was also looted by the locals.
