Allen Tony15/08/2008PETRELLA was a German troop transport sunk by torpedoes from the British submarine HMS SPORTSMAN north of Souda Bay on the island of Crete. Of the 3,173 Italian prisoners of war on board a total of 2,670 lost their lives.
