Claes Johnny20/06/2008At 09.30 hours on 21 Jun, 1943, the Brinkburn (Master Norman Johnson) in convoy TE-22 was torpedoed and sunk by U-73 west of Algiers. The master, 21 crew members and five gunners were lost. One crew member and five gunners were rescued by landing craft and a fishing vessel and landed at Algiers.
