Allen Tony29/04/2008Chiloe SS was a Chilean Steam Passenger/Cargo Vessel of 1,827 tons built in 1909 by A Rodger & Company, Port Glasgow, Yard No 411 for Braun & Blanchard, Punta Arenas. She was powered by a steam, triple expansion, single screw giving 12 knots. In 1938 she was purchased by Cia Chilena de Navegacion Interoceanica, Valparaiso. On the 29th April 1941 she ran aground on Puchoco Point, Chile and was wrecked whilst on passage from Buenos Aires for Valparaiso, Chile.
