HMS Cupar was a Hunt Class Minesweeper of the Royal Navy and was 800tons. She was built by A McMillan & Son, Dumbarton in 1918 and powered by a Steam, triple expansion engine, 2200 ihp, giving 16 knots. She was originally to be named Rosslare, but was renamed before launch to avoid possible misunderstandings of having vessels named after coastal locations. She survived the war but whilst engaged on post war mine clearance off the Tyne she struck a mine and sank.
