Jan Lettens11/08/2010On March 11th, 1917, the French steamer SS Charles Le Cour (Capt. Gabriel Gautier), on a voyage from Cardiff to Nantes with a cargo of coal, was sunk by the German submarine UC-47 (Paul Hundius), 7 miles NNE of Pendeen lighthouse at 11pm. There were no casualties
