Allen Tony22/02/2008Abel Tasman MV was a small Dutch Motor Vessel coaster of 314 tons and built in 1937. On the 13th Hune 1940 when on route for Poole in ballast she struck a mine laid by the German Luftwaffe and sank in the Swash Channel, Hook Sands at the entrance to Poole Harbour.
