Lettens Jan02/06/2013During the Battle of Cornwall, a Spanish Armada of 400 troops, under the command of Carlos de Amésquita and with 4 galeons (Capitana, Patrona, Peregrina y Bazana) destroyed around 400 houses in Penzance by an endless bombardment of cannon fire. Three ships, including the John from Mousehole were sunk.
