She foundered near to Buton (Butung, Sulawesi) in August 1685. A report dated October 13th 1685 from Daghregister van ‘t Casteel Batavia 1685´ reads ´de fluijt Aardenburgh omtrent ‘t Eijlant Wawoij gesoncken´, meaning she sank near the Island Wawoij.
