Lettens Jan03/05/2012Marie, built in Binic in 1889 and owned at the time of her loss by Mess. Joubert & Laboissiere, Hennebont, was a French schooner of 127 tons.

On March 10th, 1917, Marie, on a voyage from Swansea to Hennebont with a cargo of coal, was sunk by the German submarine U-62 (Ernst Hashagen), 15 miles North from the Seven Stones.
