  History

Olsen John07/05/2012According to my files this ship was built in Aalborg - yard no. 14
Allen Tony19/10/2011The neutral SS Silja (Master Knut Jensen) left Gibraltar on 5th February and was reported missing. At 20.59 hours on 10th February 1940 German submarine U-37 fired one torpedo at a steamer, which was struck in the aft part and broke in two. The stern sank immediately and the fore part followed after a few minutes. This must have been the Silja.
