Allen Tony04/01/2008Kohinur SS was a British Cargo Steamer of 5,168 tons built in 1922 and owned by ASIATIC STEAM NAVIGATION CO LTD. On the 15th November 1940 when on route from PORT TALBOT for ALEXANDRIA and PORT SAID in CONVOY OB 235 carrying a cargo of Government Stores she was torpedoed by U-65 in and sunk. 48 crew lost from a total complement of 85.
