Allen Tony12/04/2009Cree SS was British Cargo Steamer of 4,791 tons completed by the Commonwealth Government Shipbuilding & Dockyard, Sydney, NSW as the Biloela, 1931 renamed Wollert, 1932 renamed Ivanhoe, 1937 renamed Yoh Hsing, 1937 renamed Cree She was owned by MUIR, YOUNG LTD. CREE STEAMSHIP CO LTD.

On the 22nd November 1940 when on route from PEPEL and FAYEL for WORKINGTON carrying a cargo of 5,500 tons of iron ore she was torpedoed by German submarine U-123 and sunk. Crew of 45 lost.
