Avec4301/09/2011Il semble que Le Loire ait été torpillé par le sous-marin allemand U-26 (Klaus Ewerth), le premier à opérer en méditerranée qui a enregistré une attaque à un navire non identifié le 13.11.1939 à 36.16 N, 02.13 W qui correspond assez bien en position avec les restes retrouvés flottant dans la zone

It seems that Le Loire was torpedoed by German submarine U-26 (Klaus Ewerth), the first to operate in the Mediterranean, which recorded an attack on an unidentified vessel on 13.11.1939 by 36.16 N, 02.13 W, which corresponds fairly well in position with the remains found floating in the area
