Allen Tony29/02/2008Dalcairn SS was a British Cargo Steamer built in 1927 and of 4,608 tons. She was owned by CAMPBELL BROS & CO. UNITED STEAM NAVIGATION CO LTD. On the 21st September 1940 she was on route from MONTREAL for HULL carrying a cargo of 8,000 ton of wheat bulk when she was torpedoed by German submarine U-100 and sunk. Crew of 42 were saved.
