  History

Lettens Jan02/12/2009I-67, a KD5 type Japanese submarine, was lost with all 87 hands during an exercise in 1940. As a consequence, unlike her sisterships I-65 and I-16, which were renamed I-165 and I-166 in 1942, she was not renamed to I-167.
