Allen Tony06/05/2009The British cargo ship Kinabalu SS was built in 1914 by Ardosaan Shipbuilding, Ardossan for Straits S.S.Co Ltd (Darby), Ardrossan. She was wrecked on September 29th, 1940, at Batu Mandi Rock, on the west coast of North East Borneo. She was carrying a general cargo and cattle on a voyage from Jesselton, via Usukan, to Sandakan. Five of the crew were lost.
