Allen Tony03/02/2009Reet SS was an Estonian cargo steamer of 815 tons and built in 1904 by Helsingborgs as the MUDIR SS for Motala Rederi A/B (Petterson), Motala. In 1920 she renamed LARUS and in 1936 SOLVEIG and in 1938 REET SS.

When on route from the TEES 29th January 1940 for GOTHENBURG carrying a general cargo she was torpedoed by German submarine U-58 and sunk. 18 crew lost.
