Allen Tony26/06/2007Bigbury was a Britisg cargo steamer of 4,616 tons and built in 1929 and owned by CAPPER, ALEXANDER & CO. ALEXANDER SHIPPING CO LTD. She left CARDIFF 23rd August 1940 & MILFORD HAVEN 28th August 1940 for BUENOS AIRES carrying 7465 tons of coal when she was torpedoed by U-46 and sunk. 39 crew lost.
