Siert Ingo06/01/2013Ship was not sunk at given position (position of attack). It was seriously damaged but towed to Greenock into Kames Bay and beached there. It was broken up later there.
Allen Tony26/06/2007Leonidas M. Valmas was a Greek cargo steamer of 2,080 tons and built in 1914 and owned by MICHAEL VALMAS. She was formerly called GERMANIA until 1936. On the 20th August 1940 when on route from HALIFAX for DUBLIN carrying a cargo of 826 tons of standards timbers, boards and battens she was torpedoed by U-46 and sunk. 16 crew missing.
