Allen Tony08/08/2008Sulairia SS was a British cargo steamer of 5,802 tons and built in 1929 and owned by the DONALDSON BROS & BLACK LTD. DONALDSON LINE LTD. On the 25th September 1940 when on route from GLASGOW for MONTREAL in Convoy OB-217 and carrying 1,800 tons general cargo and bricks she was torpedoed by German submarine U-43 and sunk. 1 crew lost from a total crew of 57.
