Allen Tony19/03/2008Christiansborg SS was a Danish Cargo Steamer of 3,270 tons built in 1992 by NV Scheepswerf Voorheen Jan Smit Czn, Alblasserdam for A/S D/S Dannebrog (C.K. Hansen), Copenhagen. On the 21st March 1940 when on route from Philadelphia - Frederikhavn - Copenhagen carrying a cargo of 4,107 tons of maize she was torpedoed by German submarine U-38 and sunk. 1 dead and 24 survivors.

On the 21st March 1940 when on route from PHILADELPHIA for FREDERIKHAVN & COPENHAGEN carrying a cargo of 4,107 tons of maize she was torpedoed by German submarine U-38 and sunk. 1 crew lost from a total crew 25.
