Allen Tony18/06/2008Haulerwijk SS was Dutch cargo steamer of 3,278 tons built in 1924 by the Clyde Shipbuilding Company, Port Glasgow, Yard No 345 for N V Maats Noordwijk (Erhardt & Deckers), Rotterdam. She was powered by a steam triple expansion engine of 3 cylinders. Engines by shipbuilders. IN 1933 she was purchased by NV Stoom Mij ´Oisterwijk´, Rotterdam. On the 1st October 1940 when on route from NEWPORT forTAMPA in ballast she was shelled and sunk by German submarine U-32.
