Allen Tony26/06/2007Royal Archer was a British Cargo steamer built in 1928 of 2266 tons. On the 24th February 1940 when on route from LONDON for LEITH carrying a cargo of 630 tons general cargo inc gum, paste etc. she hit a mine laid by U-21 and sank. 27 crew and gunner saved.
