Jordan Roger07/05/2012The steamer AASE (1890 deadweight tons), owned by D/S Torm A/S and managed by A Schmiegelow & A Kampen, Copenhagen, was sunk on 15 February 1940 in 49 17N 08 15W when on voyage from Valencia to Bristol and Cardiff with a cargo of fruit. Fifteen crew members were lost in the attack and one survivor died after rescue from a reaft on 23 February.
