Allen Tony04/10/2007U-861 was a German submarine Type 1XD2. Only 30 of its type built. Taken out of service at Trondheim, Norway on the 6th May 1945. Transferred to Lisahally, Northern Ireland on the 29th May 1945 for Operation Deadlight. Sunk on "Operation Deadlight" off Malin Head, Ireland. Operation Deadlight (post-war Allied operation, info) She was sunk on the 31st December 1945 in position 55.25N, 07.15W.
