On November 30th, 1916, the Norwegian cargo ship SS AUD, owned at the time of her loss by Kuhnle, Jacob Jnr., Bergen, was on a voyage from Cardiff to Lisboa with coal when she was sunk by German submarine UB-18, 9 miles north-northwest from Codrevy Lighthouse.

Allen Tony08/11/2009Aud SS was captured by German submarine UB-18 by gunfire and scuttled 9nm NNW of the Godrevy Lighthouse, North Cornwall, UK.
